Light Up A Community
The earthquake in Leyte rendered many households without electricity for weeks, adversely affecting the
livelihood of many, and limiting their activities at day time.
Buhay Ko Bayan Ko provided solar lamps to the 170 households in Kananga, Leyte. The help action was in
coordination with the local Barangay Captain, Mr. Jerry P. Empleo.
A special thanks to the local volunteer, Ms. Heather Sidney Empleo, for her extraordinary dedication and
contribution to the initiative.
